JIC launches new fund for startups

Start-up technology companies in the Czech Republic and Central Europe have a new opportunity to finance their development. The innovation agency JIC has launched the JIC Ventures venture capital fund, which will focus on supporting early-stage startups and their growth on global markets. The CZK 400 million fund plans to back around two dozen companies in deep tech, SaaS and other high tech sectors over four years. Individual investments can reach up to one million euros.

AI in practice: companies are held back by lack of time, not technology

Artificial intelligence can significantly relieve companies from administrative and operational tasks – yet a significant number of entrepreneurs still do not use it. A new survey by AMSP CR shows that the main barrier is not fear or mistrust, but lack of time. Entrepreneurs spend more than 80% of their time on operational tasks and lack the capacity to make strategic decisions and implement new technologies. While market leaders are growing thanks to AI, smaller companies risk missing the train.

Mission to Germany: open the door to the aerospace industry

CzechTrade is preparing a business mission to the prestigious ILA Berlin 2026 trade fair, where you will meet key players such as Airbus or Boeing and engage in B2B meetings and networking events. Take the opportunity to tap into one of Europe’s most important industrial ecosystems.

Creative Business Czechia 2026 competition knows the winner

The winner of this year’s edition was the startup NABERIUS TECH, which develops realistic virtual environments for training artificial intelligence and robots. A record 65 projects entered the competition, confirming the growing importance of the Creative Tech sector in the Czech Republic. The winning team is now heading to the international stage and will participate in the prestigious London Tech Week festival.

TechConcept shows that supporting innovation works

TechConcept confirms that the right combination of research, business and targeted support creates world-class solutions. Thanks to the incubation programme of BIC Plzeň and the involvement in the Enterprise Europe Network, the company has clarified its strategy and developed its technology. The startup has thus become a supplier to key energy players and has tripled its revenues at the same time. Today, it is building on the experience gained and continuing to grow with a clear vision for the future.

Get a graduate or PhD student to join your company with a subsidy of up to 70%

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership Programme offers companies the opportunity to receive funding to engage a graduate or PhD student to transfer cutting-edge academic knowledge directly into practice. This can help you develop new products, introduce technology or streamline company processes. The support covers not only personal costs, but also workplace equipment, materials, travel or expert services.
