Last chance: the Green Assist call for sustainable projects closes 18. May

Do you have a sustainable project in your drawer, but lack the professional capacity to bring it to the stage where it reaches banks or investors? The GREEN ASSIST initiative offers small and medium-sized enterprises free tailored expert advice. But time is running out to apply – the current call closes on 18 May 2026.
The aim of the initiative GREEN ASSISTis to help companies overcome barriers to developing and scaling their sustainability plans. The programme is managed by CINEA with the support of the Enterprise Europe Network. Under the current call , it has a budget of €3 million to distribute to around 110 companies across the EU.
What can companies gain?
The main benefit is free advicefrom top experts from all over Europe. This support helps turn “green ambitions” into bankable projects ready to attract funding.
The support focuses in particular on:
strengthening business strategy and market analysis;
Improving the project’s financial structure and sourcing strategy;
verification of environmental benefits and monitoring set-up;
addressing regulatory and technical barriers.
Supported areas: circularity and bioeconomy at the forefront
The call puts special emphasis on projects in the field of circular economy and bioeconomy. However, projects in other environmental areas such as: biodiversity and natural capital, climate change adaptation, sustainable spatial planning and environmental remediation or greening traditional sectors (e.g. industry, agriculture, forestry) are also eligible for support.
For whom the call is addressed
The call is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the European Union or in LIFE associated countries (e.g. Ukraine, Moldova, Iceland).
Key eligibility conditions:
size of the company – fewer than 250 employees and annual turnover of up to €50 million;
Economic health – the company must not be in bankruptcy, liquidation or difficult financial situation;
investment value – the planned capital expenditure (CAPEX) of the project should be more than EUR 1 million.
Depending on the complexity of the project, companies can then receive standard or extended advice.
How to apply?
The deadline for closing the call is 18 May 2026. Interested applicants should contact EEN Czechia’s sustainability advisors as soon as possible for a free consultation and preliminary assessment of the project.
