Digital Europe is the European Commission’s flagship programme to help bring modern technologies into the real world of businesses, public administrations, universities and non-profit organisations. It focuses on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data and digital skills, among others. Right now, a new wave of calls is launched with a total value of €63.2 million.

Unlike other European research programmes, Digital Europe (DEP) is focused on the rapid deployment of existing solutions into practice. With a budget of €7.6 billion, it aims to strengthen the EU’s competitiveness and ensure that the digital transformation permeates the whole of society. The programme also funds the network of European Centres for Digital Innovation (EDIH) and is managed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the Czech Republic.

The new grant opportunities are divided into several key areas.

How to get involved and succeed?

The path to obtaining financial support starts with selecting a specific call and submitting a project proposal. Most projects in this programme require the creation of an international consortium, i.e. close cooperation between partners from different countries.
