Pilsen Business Vouchers Will Support Innovation in Companies

Companies in the Pilsen metropolitan area can receive up to 300,000 Czech korunas for collaborations with research organizations. The Pilsen Business Vouchers 2026 program will support activities such as testing, analysis, software development, and process optimization. New this year is the option to pre-register a project proposal and consult on it before submitting an application.

JIC Ventures is investing in the startup FaceUp

The new JIC Ventures fund has made its first investment. It has invested in the Czech startup FaceUp, which helps companies build an ethical corporate culture and mitigate risks. FaceUp began as a student project, and today its digital platform is used by organizations in more than 70 countries around the world. The investment, exceeding 110 million crowns, will support the company’s further development and expansion into foreign markets.

Green Assist: Call for Applications Extended Through June 19

This support can help, for example, with setting up a business model, preparing financing, or conducting an environmental assessment of the project.

Podcast: Megi Mejdrechová from Robotwin Trains Robots Without Programming

The startup Robotwin is tackling the shortage of manufacturing workers and the complexity of robot programming in its own unique way. Their technology allows manufacturing workers to teach a robot a new task simply by demonstrating it—without complicated programming. At the helm of the company, which has received the prestigious European EIC grant, is Megi Mejdrechová, one of the few women in the Czech tech world. No more “green” slogans without evidence. Companies face new rules

European legislation is tightening the rules on sustainability communications and targeting so-called “greenwashing.” Companies will no longer be able to use general claims such as “eco-friendly” or “environmentally friendly” without clear evidence and certification. For many businesses, this means reevaluating their marketing, communication, and processes. If you want to avoid the risk of hefty fines, you should prepare for the new rules; you have until September 27, 2026.
