Current Grant and Funding Opportunities for Businesses

Sufficient financial resources are an important prerequisite for business growth and innovation. They help small and medium-sized enterprises implement new projects, develop innovative products and services, and expand into new markets. In addition to traditional grant programs, new tools are now available to facilitate access to funding for research, technological development, and investments in production. Here is an overview of current and upcoming opportunities that you shouldn’t miss.
STEP – Investment – Development and Production of Critical Technologies (OP TAK)
The “” call for proposals supports corporate investments in the development and production of critical technologies with the aim of strengthening strategic technological capabilities that help reduce the EU’s dependence on third-country suppliers of key components, technologies, or raw materials.
Focus on strategic sectors: digital and deep-tech technologies, clean technologies, biotechnology, and defense and security technologies.
Investment Call – Support for the acquisition of technology, production lines, construction modifications necessary for installation, etc.
Grants of up to 250 mil. Kč per project.
Applications will be accepted from July 17 through October 15, 2026.

The call for proposals is aimed at supporting industrial research and experimental development in areas of critical technologies that are important for European competitiveness and technological self-sufficiency.
Grant of 5–120 mil. Kč per project
Support primarily for the salaries of research and development staff, equipment, depreciation, supplies, and other operating expenses.
Applications will be accepted from July 17 through September 30, 2026.
Innovation Vouchers (OP TAK)
The call for proposals is aimed at supporting industrial research and experimental development in areas of critical technologies that are important for European competitiveness and technological self-sufficiency.
Focus on strategic sectors: digital and deep-tech technologies, clean technologies, biotechnology, and defense and security technologies.
Grant of 5–120 mil. Kč per project
Support primarily for the salaries of research and development staff, equipment, depreciation, supplies, and other operating expenses.
Applications will be accepted from July 17 through September 30, 2026.
Applications – International Cooperation (OPTAK)
The call for proposals supports industrial research and experimental development projects carried out in collaboration with at least one foreign partner.
Support is provided for the development of new products, materials, technologies, and services with an international scope.
The call is also open to Czech participants in international projects submitted through the IraSME network.
Grant of 3–50 million CZK per project
Applications will be accepted through November 30, 2026.
IraSME – 38th Call for Proposals
The IraSME network has launched its 38th call for proposals for international research and development cooperation projects . The call is open to companies that are planning a joint development project with a foreign partner.
Support for the development of new products, processes, and technical services.
Suitable for projects involving significant technical risk and with an international scope.
Czech participants are submitting the project through the OP TAK Call for Proposals – International Cooperation.
Applications will be accepted from June 1 through September 30, 2026.
Eurostars 3 – Call 11
This international call for proposals supports innovative small and medium-sized enterprises that carry out research, development, and innovation projects with foreign partners.
A program intended for project consortia consisting of at least two partners from different countries,
The lead applicant must be a small or medium-sized enterprise. Research organizations may participate as additional partners.
For Czech entities, support of 250,000 EUR per project, with a maximum aid intensity of 80%.
Applications will be accepted from July 9 through September 10, 2026.
InvestEU Guarantor
A new guarantee program from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the National Development Bank. It will make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-cap companies to access investment and operating loans. The program will operate as a portfolio guarantee through participating commercial banks.
A guarantee covering up to 70% of the loan principal.
Simpler administration – the business owner will deal only with his or her own bank, which will administer both the loan and the guarantee.
Applications are expected to be accepted starting in October 2026.
Other Open and Upcoming Calls for Proposals
Marketing (OP TAK)
Support for participation in up to 5 events abroad (trade fairs, exhibitions). Covers up to 50% of the costs of renting exhibition space, transporting exhibits, or marketing materials.
Applications will be accepted from June 18 through October 19, 2026.
Knowledge Transfer Partnership – Call IV
The call for proposals is intended to promote cooperation between businesses and research organizations, particularly with regard to the transfer of expertise, technologies, and know-how into business practice.
Applications will be accepted from April 30 through September 21, 2026.
Circular Economy – Call for Proposals II
The call for proposals is intended to support projects focused on waste prevention, the development of recycling infrastructure, reducing waste of secondary raw materials, and increasing the use of recycled materials.
Applications will be accepted until July 30, 2026.
Technology for MAS (CLLD) – Call for Proposals II
The call for proposals will serve to support small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas, particularly for the purchase of machinery, technology, equipment, software, IT infrastructure, and related services.
Applications will be accepted from September 1, 2026, through September 1, 2027.
TA ČR SIGMA – Seal of Excellence / EIC Accelerator
The call will be open to Czech recipients of the Seal of Excellence from the EIC Accelerator and is intended to support projects recognized at the European level that have not received funding directly from the Horizon Europe program.
The call for proposals is scheduled to be announced on June 30, 2026.
